The Original One-Act Festival features four original plays, Cast Out, Desert Chill, Jumper, and Signs and Arrows.

Sal Lopez in La Virgen de Guadalupe, Dios Inantzin

SBV talent, Sal Lopez, portrays Juan Diego in The Latino Theater Company's production of La Virgen de Guadalupe, Dios Inantzin. La Virgen de Guadalupe, Dios Inantzin is a beautiful pageant play performed in Spanish (English subtitles at The New LATC dates) with music and dance that retells the story of the apparition of the Virgin Mary to the Indian peasant Juan Diego in the hills of Tepeyac.  Because of its universal message of faith, love and perserverance the pageant appeals to diverse people, regardless of race, language or religion. La Virgen de Guadalupe, Dios Inantzin will be presented Dec. 6th and 7th at 7:30 PM, free of charge (donations are appreciated) at Our Lady of the Angels Cathedral (555 W. Temple Street; LA, CA 90012). Additional performances at The New LATC (514 S. Head to the theaters this weekend and see Jason Bateman in Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium which opens nationwide today, Friday, Nov. 16th. When a young pianist named Molly Mahoney (Natalie Portman) inherits a magical toyshop from her eccentric 243-year-old boss, Mr. Magorium (Dustin Hoffman), she struggles with self-doubt, as well as the store's tantrum. But through the friendship of a charismatic little boy (Zach Mills) and a buttoned-up accountant (Jason Bateman), she learns to believe in herself, and finds that she does possess enough magic to run Mr. Magorium's shop by finding herself in places she's never imagined.
