Plays/Theater performances must be running for at least three weeks, and we need at least one week’s notice to post it.

Brad Hogan - More Than a Game at the Toronto International Film Festival

SBV's own Brad Hogan's work on the documentary More Than a Game will be on display at the upcoming screening, Saturday, September 6th at 12:30 PM at the Toronto International Film Festival's website . Talk about being in the right place at the right time. Several years ago, first-time director Kristopher Belman decided to follow a high-school basketball team in his hometown of Akron, Ohio. Its core group of players were four African-American youth from varying backgrounds, playing for the elite, predominantly white school St. Vincent-St. Mary. The boys had played together with the same coach since they were in grade school, developing an unusual chemistry. Hollywood should be so lucky to find such a script about family, redemption and what it takes to win. And as if that was not enough, one of the players went on to become an NBA superstar. Robin Dionne in Steel Magnolias

Magnolias 

Robin Dionne will be playing the quick witted, southern belle "Truvy" in the production of Robert Harling’s Steel Magnolias at The Missing Piece Theatre in Burbank, CA.  The play takes us to a small town beauty shop near New Orleans and presents the stories of six Southern women facing life's changes and challenges with true Southern style humor. They love life to the fullest and they're mighty pleasin' to the eye but inside they're tough as nails. They're Steel Magnolias

The production is directed by Penny L. Moore, and stars Robin Dionne, Tarina Pouncy,Vivian Vanderwerd, Christina Karis, Michelle Harrel, & Baadja-Lyne.  It runs June 5th thru July 11th with shows on Saturdays and Sundays at 8 PM.  Please note there are 2 cast performing throughout the run on at other times be sure to check the show you are attending to see this amazing cast.  Reservations call: 800-838-3006 or www.brownpapertickets.com/event/111688
