Roz Ryan in Ain't Misbehavin' at the Ahmanson

SBV's Roz Ryan is starring in Ain't Misbehavin' at the Ahmanson Theatre thru May 31st.  At the height of the historic Harlem Renaissance, venues like The Cotton Club were jumpin’ to a new beat called “swing.” Ain’t Misbehavin’ is a rollicking, finger-snapping, toe-tapping, Tony Award®-winning musical revue — a tribute to the black entertainers of the early 1900’s that centers on the music of one of the most prolific musicians of the time, Thomas “Fats” Waller. Recreated by original director, Richard Maltby, Jr. (Tony Award®, Best Direction) for an exclusive Center Theatre Group engagement, Ain’t Misbehavin’ is vibrantly told with infectious energy and the cheeky humor for which Waller was known. Brian George in The Elephant Man

Brian George will be performing in the Andak Stage Company's production of The Elephant Man, Thursdays thru Sundays fromMay 16th to June 21st at the NewPlace Studio Theatre in North Hollywood. An award-winning drama, based on the true story of Joseph Merrick (called John Merrick in the play), a hideously deformed young man who lived in England in the Victorian era. Merrick spent some time in a freak show before he was befriended and rescued by London physician Frederick Treves and became something of a celebrity. He died at the age of 27.

Ryan Smith in Fellowship!

Ryan Smith stars in Fellowship!  The Musical Parody of The Fellowship of the Ring, running Thursdays through Sundays from June 4th thru July 12th at the Falcon Theatre in Burbank, CA. In this Broadway style musical, Tolkien fans will see all their favorite characters from the movies with one big change - they're funny. This hilarious send-up features twelve original songs, from the over-the-top opening number with barefooted tap-dancing Hobbits, to an elf-on-human 80's power ballad with a live guitar solo performed by the rightful heir of Gondor. Fellowship! won 2005 Musical of the Year and Best Comedy Ensemble at the LA Weekly Awards. With confidence and power beyond his years, he’s convinced that he and seasoned campaign manager, Paul ( Chris Noth ), can steer their team into the west wing without breaking a sweat. But before the polls close at the primaries, Stephen’s perceived invincibility is shattered as he falls prey to backroom politics, the manipulations of veteran operatives and the wiles of a seductive young intern ( Olivia Thirlby ).
